Alex Rice trained at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico under Dr. Vasant Lad, one of the world's most respected Ayurvedic physicians. She later served as Dr. Lad's scribe, taught at the Institute, and worked as the lead onsite practitioner at his panchakarma healing center. Over the course of her career, she has guided more than 1,000 people through transformational Ayurvedic cleanses.
Her journey into Ayurveda began behind the cash register at a local donut shop. While saving every dollar she could to pursue her dream of studying Ayurveda with Dr. Lad, she committed to her first traditional Ayurvedic cleanse. The experience relieved years of chronic shoulder tension, transformed her relationship with her body, and gave her absolute clarity that this was the work she was meant to do.
Today, through her practice, Lilananda Ayurveda, Alex helps high-achieving women who are doing everything right - but still feel heavy, inflamed, or exhausted - understand the language their body is speaking and create lasting change by working with their body instead of against it.
She believes an Ayurvedic cleanse isn't about deprivation - it's about creating the conditions for the body to remember how to heal.
